A significant portion of the New Testament was written for Christians living under the oppressive rule of an authoritarian government, Caesar. Where is Caesar now? The eternal Kingdom is built on sacrifice, grace, and mercy. The cross, once a living bill board meant to frighten people to allegiance , has been transformed into a symbol of life, love, and empowerment. May God help us identify the mini-Caesars who still seek to subjugate us.
